Chop! Chop!

I've had long hair for the longest time. In fact, there are only 2 times in my life that I remembered having short hair. First, when my mom thought I'd look cute in a boy's cut. YES! I can't believe she did that to me when I couldn't do anything about it. Anyway, I don't have a picture but I'll share it once I get a hold of it.
The second time I got a short haircut that was pretty much my decision was way back 2012. As they say, once a girl's heart gets broken, she'd resort to changing hairstyles.
Other than that, I had long hair. But a friend told me about this good cause that's totally worth cutting my hair for (I'll blog about this later).
So I told Paul about it and being the supportive boyfriend he always is, he's more excited than me! He was so supportive that he even asked me to have my hair done in the salon where his mom and sister goes to. So it was set, his mom asked the stylist to reserve a slot for me and I was so ready to have my hair chopped.
I can't believe how Paul is just too much of a stage boyfriend. When he saw my hair, he kept on gesturing a thumbs up and when I finally got up, my sweet boyfriend told me that my new hair suits me and walked passed by me then handed a tip to the stylist. I found that weird and sweet at the same time! I'm actually used to handing the tip myself but this time, it was Paul doing it. Probably because he really loved my new look. ;)
So anyway, here's my new look... how do you find it? ;)

Davao Weekend

Last month, my family and I were invited by our uncle to a business trip to be held in Davao City. My father thought it was the perfect getaway for the family to end the summer and we were all so excited! I immediately asked Paul if he wanted to come and without any hesitation, he said yes.

So last June 6, off to Davao we went... it was so fun!
The last time I've been to Davao was 11 years ago and last June 6, upon stepping on Davao soil, I was very happy! Imagine, I was just 12 the last time I was there and upon my return, I now have my boyfriend who came with me. :p

To sum the entire trip, it was full of food! I tell you, I think I gained a couple of pounds during that vacation. Highlights probably was that it was the first out of town trip wherein Paul was with us and those moments when we'd sneak out of the hotel during the evening to explore a city where we are both strangers. It was just very sweet. I also had a quality time with my family and other relatives who came as well.

Davao is a very, very clean city. I swear you will not see any trash along the streets or people smoking around. Everyone there is just disciplined and that's probably what's lacking here in Manila. I couldn't wait to go back and visit the beaches soon! :)

Aside from the loads of food we had, I love Davao for the kind people who were always accomodating even if they sometimes find it hard to speak Tagalog. I had so much fun teaching Paul visayan words and he sounded so cute whenever he'll try to say it. His favorite? "Maayong gabii!" which means good evening. He kept saying that even when it's morning or noon. :p

We'll be back for sure, Davao! Thanks for taking care of us. :)
