Life Lately

Hey guys! In a few days we are gonna be in our 3rd month for 2018, and well what do you know? I’m still at my second post! :( I guess it’s time to admit that I will never be able cope up with writing same as how I was before. But anyway, I’d still make sure to update my blog from time to time.
It’s five in the morning now and I am not sleepy. This week started off hard.
A colleague died, a friend is pain and a friend’s parent is hurting. All of those, shoved to my face to start my week. For a lack of better word, I feel sad.
If you’d come to think of it, I am not directly affected at all. But I feel blank. And so, in moments like these, I’d vent it out through writing or else I’d probably be sulking somewhere.

When I was told that a colleague of mine passed on, I couldn’t help but think of the kids she left behind. For sure she did not want to leave that way, for sure she would have wanted to prepare. But in reality, we really don’t get a say. God has His own plan for each and every one of us. And if it’s your time, it’s really your time.

So yes, as cliche as it is, live life to the fullest.
Love hard.
Laugh often.
Travel as much as you can.
Don’t do overtime.
Eat healthy.
Take care of yourself.
Learn to appreciate.
Thank HIM everyday.

Always know that you are lucky and blessed to be breathing today. You may have problems, but hey, we all have them!
Now let’s do this exercise, list down all your blessings and feel them, thank them, thank God for them.

For me, I’ll name a few:
- For my life
- For my Mama and Papa
- For my Paul
- For my Liza, Jude and Neue
- For my Coco, Hunter, Gene and Koby
- For my friends
- For my officemates
- For our staff
- For the people making my life easier everyday
- For my readers

Happy 2018!

Hey what’s up guys?! I know, I’m ages late but I hope you had the merriest Christmas and the happiest new year! Mine was all good, surrounded by my family and friends. I also turned 27 and boy I’m loving it already! In line with that, I just realized that I’ve spent 6 birthdays already with Paul! Wow right?! We have been celebrating it since 2013 and surely up until we are old and gray. ❤️
I was so fascinated with the change of looks, not to mention the weight gains and all haha. But through it all, what remained is our giddy faces and excitement for each other that comes with the new year.
I pray that 2018 will be the most amazing year for all of us. May it be filled with a whole lot of adventure and may we stay healthy and strong to enjoy it as it comes.

My blog will definitely stay as my open diary to the world and I promise to be posting more content this year. I am not still not certain if I’ll venture vlogging but we’ll see.

Anyway, I’ll see you guys soon! Xoxo

End Game

Hey guys! So yeah my title might sound familiar since it's one of Taylor Swift's tracks for her newest album, Reputation. Basically the song talks about wanting to be the 'end game' of his/her love. We are talking about really being the last love and accepting this person wholeheartedly given that you are already embracing the fact that this person is the one you want to be with until the end.. oh it's super romantic! I will be talking more about the album later, but for now I'm gonna talk about how Paul and I celebrated our 5th anniversary. Yes! It's been that long! But still, butterflies flutter and how he made me feel from the start is still the same thing I feel even today. <3

It's actually the first anniversary where we did not go out of town. Our Hong Kong trip did  serve as a pre-anniversary trip though. Nonetheless, it was very special. Paul took me to a dinner cruise around Manila Bay. It was such a romantic evening! I mean hello, it's not everyday that you get to dine in a cruise with some band serenading you right?!

Sharing some pictures from that night (did me a soft look for date night):

I love you lovey! Thank you for keeping me sane, holding me down and loving me. To forever! Excited to face the future with you <3

Paul and Mara Take Hong Kong

Hey what's up you guys! I'm back with a new blog and a new story to tell. A few days back, Paul and I went for a vacation in Hong Kong! Although it's both our 2nd time already in HK, it actually didn't matter because this trip was our first out of the country trip together! And it was sooo fun!
So the goal was simple, we aim to have lots of food trip & to live like a local.
Most of our touristy pictures are in Paul's camera, so I'll be sharing the ones I took with my phone for now. I'll update this post later on for more pictures.

Day 1
  • We knew this trip is gonna be awesome 'coz when we ate at NAIA, we got the number "12" as we wait for our food. Our anniversary December 12 (12.12.12) and if you'd come to think of it, that's just a weeks from now! My love and I will soon be celebrating our 5 years of togetherness and love <3
  • Saw and made 'pansin' with Maine Mendoza at the long lines of immigration in HK. I thought she was nice since she let off a smile when I called her but Paul thought she's 'suplada' hehe
  • Paul and I tried figuring everything out from the airport to Mongkok (where we stayed) and boy were we good!
  • Walked around the Mongkok area and guess what, FOODTRIP!
  • Paul got a 40% discount on a really 'pogi' pair of sneakers from Puma! Lucky!! My love was super happy and giddy!

Day 2
  • Disneyland and solid food trippin' still!
  • FOODTRIP!
  • Paul brought another pair of sneakers, it's Vans this time and it was super steal at 1000PHP! But mannn it was legit! We are lucky!

Day 3
  • Had Ichiran Ramen for lunch! Heard this is famous in Japan
  • Walked around Tsim Sha Tsui and wandered like locals (who looked for Taylor Swift's Reputation album which was sold out. :( Paul got me the album in iTunes instead :))
  • Went to The Peak which was seriously jam-packed LOL
  • Had a panic-buying of 'pasalubong' in Mongkok
  • FOODTRIP!
  • Our feet were like literally crying with us! Thankfully, foot massages are everywhere so we had to try 'em! It was super expensive but it was worth it :)

Day 4
  • We barely took pictures since we were too tired to even pose. It was also time to go home :(
  • We slept like crazy in the bus to the airport, in the plane, we slept more at Paul's house. We finally regained back our strength just now LOL!
But I wouldn't trade what we had experienced for anything. I love our adventure, I love the spontaneity of everything. I love my Paul <3 Thank you again for this wonderful trip.Thank you for taking care of me and ensuring that I am always more than okay and comfortable, thank you and you know how much I love you.
Here's to more travel! In and outside the country, I'm excited for the future! I'm excited for more adventures with you! <3
