Gone Too Soon

As much as possible, I want the stuff in my blog to be of positivity and glee. But certain circumstances just make me so sad and since this is my outlet, I'm going to post it. This one is for you, Uncle Ely.
Yesterday, we've lost a great man. Before death took him, he was bedridden in the hospital for 11 days due to a stroke which led him to a coma. He's my mother's brother and he's a bad ass Uncle, one of my favorites definitely. My mom woke us up at around 3am and it was the horror when she told us about my Uncle's passing. To my readers, please help me offer a short prayer for his soul, for his bereaved loved ones and for the strength needed to surpass his demise. I am really feeling down, all of us are and I just know life will never be the same. I just pray that God will continue to make his kids and wife strong. That whatever happens, they'll never give up on life. Hence, see even more to it. That this is God's will. That we will all die anyway, so it's not actually goodbye but see you later (really really later please). With that, I have made a short poem that I dedicate to all the weak-hearted due to the situation. I actually made this when I saw my mom cry, I hate seeing her cry. But then again this applies to everyone who is sorrowful, tomorrow is a new day.

Be strong darling, please try to be strong
Even when the world you've came to know seems so wrong
Go on darling it’s alright for you to cry
I’ll be here and I’ll make sure to wipe them all dry

Things are difficult now but darling it won’t last
This world is round and soon you’ll be a happy cast
You shouldn't dwell to what makes you sad, promise me
That whatever happens, you will always try to be happy

Life is full of ups and downs we all know that
But when it’s there, all advices we get would still make us so sad
What you need to realize darling is that He wouldn't allow
A problem that our heart and soul couldn't bare now

There, there darling, I am right here
Let’s kick those problems off and wipe away your tears
If you can’t be strong yet, I’ll be your rock and I’ll stand tough for you
Until the very day when this is over and we’ll see a wide bright view.

Guys, always make it to a point to show the people you love that you love them. Make sure that they feel it and that you wouldn't let a day pass bearing a grudge in your heart towards a person. Life is too short so explore all random possibilities, love rather than hate, always appreciate, be kind, live life.

xoxo,
Ellie (I'll make sure our name will be heard)

Eventful Week

This week has been a very busy one. Work has gotten cray cray and I had a hard time juggling my tasks since I was also sick and I always came in late for work. Good thing I work with awesome people who has got my back when times get tough.
So since we're too stressed with how things were going, Paul thought of a way on how to get rid of it. I didn't like it at first but I just said yes because he seemed too excited. His plan? We watch Insidious 2 in a movie house at dawn. Evil, right? Lol. I never ever have watched a horror film in a movie house 'cause I know I wouldn't be able to handle it. But of course due to his persuasion, I gave in. :p
So there we went... He picked me up at work and we headed to Resorts World Manila to watch the hair-raising movie at 1:35am. And guess what? I enjoyed it so much! Paul and I covered our eyes and screamed our lungs out. Everyone is the theater were. It was so fun and I'll definitely do it again.

A day after our scary movie adventure, we had another task in line. Paul's mom, Mama Letty is sort of active when fun runs are the topic. So they invited me to join them for a benefit run against diabetes. It's called 'Candy Rush'. I had to wake up insanely early in the morning so I could join in and I was excited since it's my first time. I had so much fun catching up in the lane with Paul, his mom, his sister and his mom's coworkers. It was a fun-filled Sunday and it was all worth it even though my legs are pretty sore right now.

Accenture Shirt Day

Last September 25, we were obliged to wear Accenture shirts to work in order to have our pictures taken. So I'm gonna share to you some of the photos we took that day. Also, Paul bought me this pepper corn from Serenitea and it was just the yummiest ever! You guys should try it! :)

Forlorn Angel

I remember how I felt when you stared
How my heart skipped a beat though somehow, I’m scared
When I first saw you, it dawned upon me
That all the difficulties in life would become so easy

I remember those late afternoons where you’d take me
To see the sunset even though I know you’re quite busy
Those nights when we’d lay down and watch the stars from afar
I  miss the taste of your lips as we kiss on the hood of your car

I remember how I didn’t have second thoughts when you asked
If we could run away from everything and just leave the past
As I packed my things that night, I recall smiling
Because I love you so much and I was sure things were going to be exciting

I remember waiting for you with glee
I was very happy so I smiled at every stranger I see
Minutes, hours and a day has passed but you weren’t around
My heart sank and it felt like as if it wanted to drown

I remember going to the same place every day
Just to see if you were there and if we could already run away
But three hundred and sixty five sunny and rainy days has passed
Darling, what happened to us? I thought our love would last

I remember waking up in a beautiful place
Things were sparkly and almost all people move with grace
I know I was supposed to be happy to find out
But I only cried and cried and shouted out loud

I remember being the sad and sorrowful one
The smile escaped my face since I know we’re undone
I held on to your promise up to this very day
It caused the blue skies of heaven to turn to gray

One day, as I watched our meeting place from above
I saw you stepping out of your car holding a bouquet with love
You were still very handsome, you never aged
I didn’t care about the rules, so I immediately went down with savage

You can no longer see me, you never will
I was about to wipe your tears away when a kid appeared
“Daddy, come on mom is waiting”
I was shocked from what I heard and my heart started bleeding

I remember you asking for my forgiveness
And that nothing could ever replace the sadness
You recalled that on the day when we were about to run away
You had to fulfill a duty so to avoid any dismay

A wing has been taken, a punishment for being hard-headed
I want to say sorry too, for being an early departed
I was supposed to be strong even just for myself
But darling when you left, I knew there was just not enough help

I wanted you to know that I have forgiven you
Even if in the deepest part of me, you will always see the blue
I’ll be your angel and your family’s guardian too
Just so you know, I will always, always love you.

Working Girl

I might not bring up work most of time in here but I actually do have a real job aside from blogging/writing. I work in a company full of possibilities and opportunities. I should say, even if I hear rants most of the time, I still love the company I work for. Most probably because of the people I work with. When tough times come and shit gets serious workwise, these people actually turn things around by cracking hilarious jokes. And oh... since they're the more mature ones (haha), they make sure to always remind me of why I'm working. And that is to travel. :D

American Apparel

I'm the type of person who would definitely leave the house wearing a ragged V-neck shirt and denim pants. So yeah that's me, most of the time. Keeping it simple equates to being comfortable but keeping it simple doesn't mean it has to stay there, you can still rock simplicity out. The only line of clothing that actually lives up to that is American Apparel. I am sooo happy they're finally in the Philippines! The company actually sees to it that they give their customers the vintage feel, and hello, I'm the vintage girl. ;) I follow them on Instagram and I grabbed some of their pictures to have it posted here (credits to the owners). These are my favorites by far (Instagram: americanapparelusa)
